Stacy Schmitt serves as our Director of Marketing and Communications. She is responsible for community relations, corporate communications, advertising and media relations functions for the TDS and Garden-Ville brands, providing integrated marketing strategy and support in moving the brand forward.
Prior to joining TDS, Stacy was the Director of Corporate Marketing and Communications for National Instruments, where she was responsible for government relations, corporate communications, advertising, media relations, and corporate design teams that encompassed the internal communications, investor relations, content and executive leadership programs. She also managed the National Instruments’ community relations programs, employee volunteer groups, non-profit outreach and philanthropic programs. Prior to National Instruments, she held leadership positions in public affairs, marketing and communications at Time Warner Cable, and also directed the company’s philanthropic effort, Connect a Million Minds. While in the telecommunications industry she received industry recognition including several national awards for strategic communications and public relations initiatives.
Stacy has held numerous community roles and currently serves on the FIRST in Texas Advisory Board, as well as the advisory board for the University of Texas at Austin Neighborhood Longhorns Program.
Stacy received her bachelor’s degree in Communications/Marketing from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas.
