We've pledged to offset the carbon footprint of our transportation fleet by creating our own oxygen-producing machines — trees. With more than 30 species, 40 acres and 40,000 plants, we’re taking green one step farther.
Running a fleet of trucks responsibly involves more than just keeping maintenance up to date and hiring the best mechanics. It means also taking responsibility for any waste left behind, visible or not. So, because we see ourselves as stewards of our environment, TDS has pledged to offset the carbon footprint of our transportation fleet by creating our own oxygen-producing machines — trees and grassland. We’ve devoted 40 acres at our Creedmoor site to a tree farm where we cultivate more than 50,000 trees, shrubs, and grasses to be used at our facilities and to be purchased through our Garden-Ville retail locations. We also award trees to some of our partner cities that attain a high target rate for collected recyclables. Trees are just one of the many ways we look to protect our environment and be responsible for our actions.
