Texas Disposal Systems Service Update for Residents of Brushy Creek MUD
We are proud to continue servicing the Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District as the Solid Waste & Recycling Service Provider. As we continue our services in your community, we want to inform you of potential changes to your collection service, beginning November 6, 2025, and share some reminders about your trash and recycling curbside pickup.
Collection updates will begin the first week of November. You may find information regarding your pickup day and new service details below. Please note, your current pickup days may be changing. Zone Information
Reference the map on the left to find your zone and collection pickup day. Your zone is determined by the location of your home.
Contract Information
Effective October 1, 2025, Texas Disposal Systems (TDS) is continuing its services as the contracted provider of solid waste disposal and recycling curbside collection for Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District.
Your trash and recycling pickup day occur on the same day of the week. Trash collection happens every week and recycling collection is every other week. Trash pickup is limited to your cart plus six (6) bags or bundles. Recycling pickup is limited to your cart plus one (1) bundle of cardboard tied with twine or packing tape, placed outside your cart. No additional bags permitted.
Please note, the use of personal carts is not permitted. TDS does not accept hazardous materials, non-compactable materials, dirt, concrete or construction materials.
Bulky & Brush Service Information
Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District residents receive bulky and yard waste pickup two (2) times per year. Bulky and yard waste pickup can be scheduled by calling (512) 255-7871.
Each collection is limited to three (3) cubic yards per household. Bulky pickup includes materials not easily contained in a bag such as, but not limited to, furniture, mattresses and box springs, carpets and rugs, lawn equipment (drained of oil and gas), large toys, large appliances, and yard trimmings in bags or bundles. Yard waste must be bundled, tied and cut into four (4) foot lengths with cut ends facing the curb. Limbs must be four (4) inches or less in diameter.

Texas Disposal Systems observes the following holidays:

- New Year’s Day
On such holidays service will slide one (1) day* after the normal collection day. *Subject to change.

Waste Wizard
The TDS Waste Wizard allows you to stay up to date on service alerts and scheduling changes, view your cart collection calendar, sign up for custom reminders regarding your curbside service and learn about proper disposal of commonly used items through our “What Goes Where” tool.
Notifications
Residential customers can sign up for collection day reminders via email, phone call or text messages through the Waste Wizard App. Customers can also sync their collection schedule to their mobile device calendar.
In addition to collection day reminders, residential customers will receive service alerts in the case any disruptions, delays or rescheduled service due to holidays, inclement weather or route issues.
What Goes Where?
The “What Goes Where” feature allows customers to search for commonly used items to determine which waste stream in the item should be placed in, and offers solutions for items that TDS does not accept.
Service Requests
All service requests can be submitted through the Waste Wizard and handled by our Customer Care Team in a timely manner.
