Transfer Stations and Eco Depot Locations |
|
In late 1997, in an effort to reduce expenditures and improve service to its western Travis County residents, Travis County selected TDS as a long-term partner to purchase the assets and operate its solid waste transfer station located in the City of Bee Cave, just north of the Highway 71 and 620 intersection. Travis County transferred the TNRCC permit authorizing the facility into the name of Texas Disposal Systems Landfill, Inc. Renamed Eco Depot, the improved facility offers the general public solid waste disposal and recycling drop off. Texas Organic Products (TOP) compost, mulch, Garden-Ville products and City of Austin bulk water sales are available. Eco Depot also offers disposal management of non-hazardous problem materials, such as tires, batteries and used motor oil and filters. Customers with materials not suitable for regular disposal (household hazardous wastes, for example) are directed to the City of Austin facility, which provides these disposal services. Eco Depot is a shining example of how TDS partners with nonprofit and public agencies to conserve our “Eco” resources. In Spring 2001, TDS opened a second operation for citizens in and around the City of Georgetown. Customers can drop off everyday household waste as well as bulky items at 250 W.L. Walden Rd. Customers can also purchase TOP and Garden-Ville products at the Georgetown location. | How to Reach Us | Hours of Operation | | | Georgetown Transfer Station 250 W.L.
