Product Information and Pricing
TOP can provide unique and cost saving alternatives to the disposal of organic-based process wastes. These include food and beverage processing related wastes, wood derived wastes and compostable wastes requiring secure destruction. We manage waste streams from various institutions and food and beverage producers. TDS is the only company in Austin that can provide this environmentally conscious waste-management solution.
TOP markets many products, including freshly ground mulch, composted mulch, organic topsoil and, of course, composts. The demand for these products is steadily increasing as more customers are learning of their availability.
Our TOP-compost is made from clean wood, yard trimmings, some food residuals and low recyclable value shredded and baled recycled paper, as well as other incoming recycled waste organic feedstocks. After forming into compost windrows, temperatures of 110 and 150 degrees Fahrenheit are typically achieved within a week. After composting for two to three months, the material is placed in static piles for curing, followed by screening to remove larger wood-chips and foreign materials greater than 3/8-inch diameter. This product is an excellent lawn top dressing, for use in potting soil mixes, or for incorporation into flowerbeds or vegetable gardens. Give it a try!
